Could contain TMI

That's "too much information" for those of you not in on internet speak (yes, I mean you, Mom!). We (well, I) decided to bury the baby since I couldn't bear to think about flushing or putting her in the garbage. Maybe it wasn't the best idea because I keep being drawn out there, and every time I look that way, I want to cry. Of course, if I was dwelling on her being somewhere that the toilet or the garbage might have led to, that would probably be worse. She should have flowers near her for at least the spring months. I'll have to work on filling in the holes with things that bloom in the summer and fall. And really, I know I shouldn't be worried about her earthly vessel at all - I know her soul has gone up to be with Jesus and that God has His reasons.

It's looking pretty nice back there compared to what it looked like a few months ago, but we're desperately in need of mulch. We're working on it! If you click on the picture, it will get bigger. There are azaleas in the back. The ring of rocks is around the poor blueberry plant that keeps getting trampled. There are tulips in the back of the bulb plants - you can see the buds coming up. The jonquils in the middle are pretty much done now, and the grape hyacinths are in front. The peony I thought was not going to come up (since it didn't make an appearance last year) is in an awkward spot in front of the hyacinths. Everything seems to be miniature in this red dirt so we'll see how big the peony gets. The two "crazy hair" clumps are wild daffodils that James pulled up from the side of the road during one of our sopping wet rainy days. I suppose that means they won't come up next year because they were disturbed before they were dormant. I guess we'll find out!
