Ok, ok, I'm updating. There are a ton of things I could put in here every day, but there are a ton of little things that need to be done that take all of my spare time away, and this is usually pretty low down on the list. So, here is an abbreviated rundown of the things that I've been mentally adding to the blog.

This past weekend, we went hiking in the Kennesaw Battlefield Park. It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time, and I used my birthday as an excuse to finally make us go. It was a little strenuous for this out-of-shape lady, but it was a beautiful day.

Yesterday, Lissy was running around outside barefoot. She went into the landscaping and stepped on a humongous ant hill. Kait brought her in panicked because the baby had had lots of ants all over her feet and legs. She did end up with about 12 bites or so on one foot and maybe 5 on the other. They're still visible this morning, but I think they probably were not fire ants. Phew! She didn't seem to even notice them except for some itchiness.

Today, Kait went to the dentist. She's got a crossbite at the moment, and it's causing one of her bottom adult teeth to be loose. The dentist is also afraid of chipping the top tooth because of the crossbite. We now have a consult to a orthodontist. I know that it's also been a cosmetic concern for Kait and that it hurts sometimes when she bites wrong so I suppose we'll have to go consult. Sigh. Just when I think that we're getting a little ahead with this paying off debt thing...

Speaking of debt, James is due for another cancer scan. He no longer has insurance so if we do it, it will be out of pocket. His Mom is helping some, but I'm still scared of how much it's going to be. On the other hand, if we skip it, he won't be declared officially cancer-free, which would get in the way of being able to get insurance again down the road a few years. Double sigh.

Life goes on.

You have to do the scan. Don't consider not doing it. That's my two cents.

Let us know how it goes ...

And thanks for updating. ;)
