I think of something to put on here nearly daily, but I just never get to it!
We started school on Aug 4. That's the same day as the public schools started in our county. It seems early, but we started that early last year, and we still didn't get finished until mid-June. I guess we took a lot of time off? Things are going well so far. I went ahead and put Jeremy into first grade material, and he's taken to the extra work load much better than I expected. Of course, we're only in week two! Kait is doing well too, as usual. She started piano lessons in July, and she's doing a fantastic job. She complains about practicing, but her teacher is very impressed with her progress so far.
The proofreading thing is kind of on a back burner. I have doubts about having time to actually do the work even if I ever found any. But we'll see. I actually get more organized every time I have more things to fit in...probably because I'd go insane if I didn't get it together a bit!
I harvested about 10 tomatoes from my container tomato plant, and they're pretty good. We had a few raspberries, and they look to be generating some more berries right now. My strawberry plant has been more prolific this year too, but I only get 1-2 strawberries at a time. I need more strawberry pots so I can have more plants!
Felicity is quite the personality, and she has made school a bit of a challenge. But she's starting to be more interested in TV shows like Barney, Sesame Street, and Teletubbies so, if we're quick, we can get some school stuff done without a toddler interrupting us at every second. She gave herself a permanent marker tatoo the other day, but thankfully she didn't get any on the walls or carpet or furniture!
