There's nothing like waking up at 12:40 to feed your child only to find her finger-painting with her own vomit. This was my first solo puke clean-up and sheet change. What are you supposed to do with the baby while you change sheets and clean up puke? I got her changed into some new jammies and wiped off her face and hands. Then, she crawled around on the floor while I changed the sheet. I detest changing crib sheets, by the way. Now, this puke session was entirely my fault, I think. She ate some of my chicken for dinner. She loved it and was shoving it in faster than I could put it on her tray. I think we got a little too carried away. Most of the puke was chicken. We won't be doing that again. I didn't get her back to sleep until 3:30. Fun times.

I'm glad that it was probably just the chicken (she seems fine now) because Mike and Erica are arriving tonight from Wisconsin. We're so excited to see them and meet Emily!

The weather here is crazy. Yesterday, it was almost hot enough to turn on the air (upper 70's in the house), and today is supposed to only get to about 55. It rained last night, and it seemed so foreign to listen to the rain and wind blowing outside the window. It's not a common sound around Georgia these days. Of course, the weather man said that this wouldn't make any difference in the drought - always so negative! We'd need something like 5 inches of steady rain to raise the level in the reservoir. So, if you're so inclined, pray for rain for Georgia!
