I have been wanting to post on here FOREVER! Mom and Dad were here to visit, and it was very nice to have them (hi Mom!). My birthday came and went - my sweet husband and children gave me a hand-painted (by them) watering can that I will eventually post pictures of. It's SO cute and thoughtful. I planted some fall veggies - green onion, radish, Korean radish, and swiss chard. They're coming up nicely so far.

But the real news is that this week is the week. James had his first injection today, and he has one tomorrow. These shots make him very hypothyroid so when I talked to him today, he was feeling pretty lethargic. On Wednesday, he'll get the radioactive pill (just enough to be able to be seen in a scan), and on Friday, he'll have the scan. As far as I know, the only follow-up appointment he has to discuss this is not scheduled until Nov 29. So, I guess I'll be hoping once again that we don't get a call cheerfully moving up our follow-up - last time it brought bad news. He did get a look at the scan last time so we were at least prepared for the bad news (cancer in his lungs). Maybe he'll be able to get a glimpse this time too. So, please pray for James this week - for both his well-being as he struggles with being hypo and for a positive outcome on Friday!
