One day, Kait was supposed to write a sentence using some of her spelling list words. She wanted to write a story instead. Surprisingly, it ended up being quite poetic. Here it is:
The fox went to the top of the hill and saw the full moon. When he was a father fox, he saw the full moon again. When he was a grandpa his wife died so he went to the top of the hill and saw the full moon. Then a few minutes later some wind came by and he got cold but he never stoped looking at the moon. So, he remembered all his children and forgot to tell them the first time he saw the full moon and so he died with his eyes on the moon.
School has been going well. We're trying to pack a few more subjects in this year (or at least cover the other ones more thoroughly) so we're dealing with some fatigue after lunch. It's a good thing she finds history and science interesting! My biggest concern with the "extras" is Korean. I'm trying extra hard to make sure we cover some of that 2-3 times a week. Kait even repeated some of the sentences to me from the Rosetta Stone program last night before bed so maybe...just maybe!...I'll eventually get them to speak some Korean! I'd hate for them to lose that part of them completely because we didn't try hard enough.
