Hey all! It's been a while! Our county's school children returned to school today so I guess it's time we give up our summer laziness and get ready to start up again too. The plan is to start on Wednesday. I got probably only half of the stuff I wanted to get done this summer done. Efficiency has never been my strong point. hehe. One thing I definitely still need to get done ASAP is the yearbook. I've selected pictures from over the past year to put into a "school yearbook" for the kids. It's a surprise, and I really need to get it done before it's time to do a new one!
Kaitlyn and Jeremy are doing great. They're not really ready for school, but that's because they like playing and watching tv all day! Jeremy is going to start kindergarten work this year. He's been practicing his reading this summer, and is now reading some of the easier level 1 books fairly easily. I'm so proud of him! Kaitlyn zips through her chapter books now, and her favorite ones currently are the Nancy Drew Notebook series (Nancy's in third grade).
Felicity is 5 months old now. She's been rolling for a couple of months, but now she's gotten a lot stronger and rolls constantly. She can sit up for a few seconds at a time, and she can do the "tripod" - balancing on one hand while sitting - for a little while. She's full of smiles and laughs at her brother and sister. Her sleep has improved somewhat, but
We're getting very excited about going to visit Grandma and Grandpa at the end of August. We can't wait to see everyone! I am rather sad that it will be such a short trip though since we most likely won't get to see everyone we would like to! But G and G have planned a trip down here at the end of September so we'll be looking forward to that as well.
I've peppered some funny pictures of Felicity through this post. In one, she's wearing Jeremy's goggles from Lowe's (they have little project kits for kids some Saturdays). In another, James put a grain of rice on her tongue, and she made some funny faces. Enjoy!
