Here we are at 37 weeks already - full term! It's gone by awfully quickly. I have the clothes and bedding washed, bassinet up and ready, etc. I still need to pack my bag though! The kids and I had a stomach bug last week, but thankfully, we're all finally over it. I don't know how James managed to escape though...especially because Kait managed to puke IN HIS MOUTH at one point. Blech!! Otherwise, things have been fairly slow around here. Kait has been going to art once a week. We try to make play group once a week, and if the weather is nice, we go to the park on Fridays with other homeschooling families. Combine all this with school and normal daily work and life has been PLENTY busy for me!
One thing that's been weighing on me lately is the baptism for this little girl. We went to the class on Saturday so we're all set in that area. BUT at this church, they only do baptisms on the first and third Saturdays. We've asked my brother and SIL to be godparents, but they live 12 hours away. We've made a few attempts to coordinate timings, but it looks as if we will be using proxies instead. It makes me feel uneasy that this is such a rigid thing. I like the days of being able to have a baptism any day of the week after Mass. It just seems so much more lovely that way - private, cozy, solemn. Otherwise, it turns into a circus of people who are only doing the baptism for the party, you know? Oh well, I'm trying to leave it up to God. :)
