Well, James's niece always says how much she likes pie. And a while back I promised I'd make her one after we moved down here. Today was the day. JJ really wanted to help me, and he really did help with nearly every step all the way through! Kait was thoroughly uninterested. Here's a picture of my little protege before the pie went into the oven. Perhaps I'll post another pic when the pie is done!


Here it is! One side collapsed a bit, but otherwise, it's the best-looking pie I've made - thanks to Mom and her aluminum foil around the crust. Usually I burn it. So this time I used the foil! I hope it tastes good too. :) Doesn't it just make you wish you had one of those deep window sills to cool it on? No? Just me?
