Grandma requested a picture of Jeremy since we've had a lot of pictures of Kaitlyn and Felicity lately. Here he is in all his fuzzy-headed glory. Looks like we'll be doing a haircut this weekend.
I'd have to say that this being out of school thing is really nice. And really horrible. It's nice for me to use my morning energy to get things done around the house and not feel like there's a timer ticking in my head all the time. It's nice that after I get all that stuff done, I can in theory read or do something enjoyable during the quiet of Lissy's nap (it's only happened maybe twice, but at least it's a possibility). On the other hand, the kids are watching too much TV, playing too many video games, and yes, I'm going to dare to say it, reading too many books! Only Kaitlyn has the book problem, but it does become a problem when the girl doesn't get any exercise, doesn't put down the book to brush her teeth, and tries to eat every meal with a book on her lap. Consequently, they get whiny and bicker constantly when they have to do something other than the aforementioned three items. I think we need to have a screen-free week. But I have to decide if that includes me as well...hmmm. Or maybe screen-free with a 30 minute window some time in the day. That might work. Part of the problem, though, is that the heat index has been in the upper 90s to over 100 this whole week, and it's just too darn hot to go play outside for hours. I guess I need to find more ways to get exercise in the house.

He's gorgeous!
I'd say, veto TV for a while with the exception of a 1 hour "quiet time" while Lissy is sleeping. Then everyone is quiet and you have one hour to do something you want/need to do as well!
That's what we do around our house on weekends ...
