I've spent a fair amount of time this Advent season making Christmas gifts. And one of those gifts is something like your grandmother wore, only now it's been reinvented and is actually trendy again. It's an apron! Now, I'm still an amateur sewer so these are pretty no-frills (for my NFP board friends - I'm no Stephanie!), but I hope my sisters will like them. And if they don't, they can give them back to me because I'll wear them! I made one for my dear mother last year, but I really wasn't pleased with it. I was too rushed and didn't have time to test out the pattern. The ones I made this year were actually based on a Japanese pattern (read: I just had to guess at everything but the measurements), and I only had to make a couple of adjustments. I have a picture of the fabrics I used, and then one finished apron. These are made to wrap around the back and then tie in the front.
I am also including a picture of Felicity with our glowing snowman. She was pretty enthralled with him, and I thought this picture turned out really nice.

WOW! Awesome picture.
I don't cook enough to use an apron! After all, you don't get your clothes too messy when you throw some chicken nuggets on a baking sheet and into the oven. LOL!
But they are really cute. Good job.
Ummm, Kelli? I'm tired of looking at this photo of an apron every day when I check your account ...
